At Ascot Child Care we are passionate about the learning journey the children and Educators embark on every day while they spend time in our environment.

Learning should be visible, so we document the learning and make it available for our children, our colleagues and our families so that everyone can see and contribute to the learning. Documentation takes many forms- art, conversations, photographs, learning stories and group observations. This allows us to showcase the children’s skills, dispositions and abilities. In taking an interest in this display of the children’s learning, we’re demonstrating how proud we are of them and their ‘being’ and ‘becoming’.

At Ascot Childcare & Kindy, our reflective practices and documentation are essential to our growth as Early Childhood Educators. We continually assess what we do, how we do it, what we’ve learned, and what further knowledge we can gain. Through ongoing reflection, we identify new opportunities to enhance our programs and extend learning experiences for both the children and our wider learning community. This commitment fosters a culture where we are all learners—constantly evolving and growing together.
